It’s funny that I’ve been blog-sent for about a month now.  I haven’t had anything interesting to write about. As a matter of fact, I started a draft last week called “If you don’t have anything nice to say…” about how I didn’t want to bitch and moan in a blog post so I was keeping it buttoned for a hot sec. LOL. I now find it supremely ironic.  After last weekend, I have plenty of not nice things to say and I’m not holding them back. I think I’m a bit justified though!  I hope all my posts for the rest of the month are shiny and sparkly!

I think we can all agree that this winter has been a rough one in the Northeast.  I myself have become a hermit alongside my husband.  Our heated mattress pad has been our best friend. I haven’t written this blog for weeks; I have spring fever like whoa. Hubs and I have really been trying to distract ourselves from all of our goals that we’re “waiting” on, the things we have no control over and have to be patient about. We’ve been having tons of fun distracting ourselves though with vacations, dinners out, and binge watching on Netflix.  Most days I dare not think about the big things we have cooking for our life together because if I do, I’m sure they will all end in the same kind of sobby mess that occurred just a few weeks back.  The aftermath? I just can’t stop myself from embracing my Type A personality and starting to plan.   But I’m way ahead of myself.  It all began with my other husband….

There are eyes everywhere.

Last week I went back to auditioning.  I haven’t been in quite a while and I only plan to go to the big stuff but I auditioned for 2 Broadway shows before noon.  For anyone in the trenches, you know that that can sometimes be quite a feat. It felt great, scary, weird, stupid, meaningless, huge, amazing, annoying and a million other things I could conjure up.  The general feeling of why is still there for me. I love being able to sing, make people smile, tell a story, and illicit feelings within my audience and myself.  The more I sat and observed the perimeter, I realized how crazy the business just keeps on getting.   Continue reading →

Tiny Humans
